Smith (Sharon Kay Mohler)] Mohler-Smith Sharon Kay Mohler and Dean Wayne Smith exchanged marriage vows at 8 p.m. Sept. 28 in the United Methodist Church in Silver Lake. The Rev. Max Barnes officiated, and candlelighters were the bride's brother, Edward Mohler, Silver Lake, and Timothy Turner. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence H. Mohler, Silver Lake, and Mrs. Estel Smith. The bride's silk organza gown had elbow-length sleeves and Empire bodice of Chantilly lace made with scalloped sabrina neckline. The detachable, circular train was trimmed with appliquéd motifs of sequin-trimmed lace. Her shoulder-length bouffant veil was held by a Chantilly lace headpiece edged with seed pearls and sequins. She carried a bouquet of white sweetheart roses. Attending the bride were her sisters, Mrs. David Stremming, Topeka, and Diane Mohler, Silver Lake. David Stremming, Topeka, was best man and Ron Valigara, Topeka, was groomsman. Ushers were Wendell Mohler, Silver Lake, and Don Smith, Topeka, brothers of the couple. A reception in the church followed the ceremony. After a short honeymoon in the Ozarks, the couple is at home in Topeka. The bride is a graduate of Silver Lake High School and is employed by the Kansas Treatment Center for Children. Mr. Smith was graduated from Topeka High School and is employed by General Electric.
