Bond-Miller
A reception in the Golden Room of Holiday Inn South followed the wedding of Shirley Charlene Bond and Jim Dale Miller.
The 2 p.m. ceremony was read by the Rev. Dean A. Olson June 28 in Grace Episcopal Cathedral.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Oren R. Bond, Delia, and Mrs. Lois D. Miller.
The bride wore a floor-length gown of lace over taffeta, fashioned with a cathedral-length train. The basque bodice was made with a scalloped sabrina neckline and bridal point sleeves. Her bouffant veil fell from a tiara of crystals and pearls and she carried a cascade bouquet of white carnations.
Bridal attendants were Mrs. Doug Uhl, matron of honor, and Mrs. Sally Monhollon. Brenda Harris was flower girl and ring bearer was Scott Hildebrand.
Richard Miller, Independence, Mo., served as best man and Gary Hildebrand was groomsman. Ushers were Tommy Zelfer, Emmett, and Jerry Monhollon.
Mrs. Miller attended Delia High School and is employed by Essex Wire Corp.
Mr. Miller, a graduate of Seaman High School, attended the University of Kansas and Kansas State Teachers College of Emporia. He is employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co.
After a short wedding trip the couple is at home at 245 E. 29th Lot No. C-l.
