| Marriage- Pratt, Esther-Parr, Joseph The marriage of Miss Esther Pratt, daughter, of Doctor and Mrs. H. F. Pratt, to Mr. Joseph Parr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Parr, Sr., took place Saturday at the home of the bride’s parents, 1118 Taylor.
Before the ceremony Miss Netta Startup sang “At Dawning,” by Cadmenand “Happy Birds.” She was accompanied by Mrs. Roy Talbert.
Little Laurine Parr, niece of the bridegroom, was dressed in pink and carried the ring in a large white lily, preceded the couple. Mrs. Talbert played Lohengrin’s wedding march during the wedding march.
The ceremony was read before a hank of ferns and spring flowers by the Rev. John Wells Rahill.
After the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Parr, Jr., left on a trip to Colorado. After August 1 they will be at home on the Pratt farm south of Rossville.—Topeka Capital
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Parr returned home Friday from their automobile trip to Colorado points while on their honeymoon. Mr. Parr reports a battle with muddy roads on the way out and on the return trip, an unusual amount of tire trouble and was forced to drive twenty-six miles at one point in low after stripping the high speed gears. Mr. and Mrs. Parr will have their quarters in Topeka until some time in August when they are to occupy the farm south of town now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hoover.
