    McRoberts-Dick
    Jeanette Marie McRoberts and Randy Leon Dick exchanged marriage vows at 4 p.m. Saturday in the United Methodist Church, Silver Lake. The Rev. Paul Mitchell officiated.

    Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. W. E. McRoberts, Silver Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Dick Jr., Rossville.

    Attending the bride were Denise Thomas, Silver Lake; Peggy Teeter and Rhonda Hesse, Rossville; Mary Beth LeCluyse, Shawnee Mission; and Debbie Matthew, Manhattan.

    Attending the bridegroom were Rodney Dick, Rick Gentry, Wilbur Stum and Karl French, all of Rossville; and Kirk Palmer, Manhattan.

    Mrs. Dick is a graduate of Silver Lake High School and Mr. Dick is a graduate of Rossville High School. They attended Kansas State University. She is employed by The Gas Service Co. and he is employed by General Foods.

    The couple will live in Rossville.

    McRoberts-Dick Vows Exchanged at Silver Lake Methodist Church

    Jeanette Marie McRoberts and Randy Leon Dick exchanged wedding vows at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 16, 1977 in the United Methodist Church at Silver Lake.

    For her wedding, Mrs. Dick chose a gown of white organza. The stand-up collar and scalloped bodice were delicately embroidered with Alencon lace, crystal beading, and seed pearls. Beaded motifs of matching lace were scattered over the full skirt Lace and crystal pleating edged the Hem of the full skirt which trailed to a chapel length train. Her camelot headpiece held a three tiered chapel length veil edged in matching Alencon lace.

    The bride’s only jewelry was a pair of diamond earrings, a gift of the bridegroom. She carried a cascade bouquet of white orchids and peach roses.

    Mr. Dick wore a formal white suit with tailcoat. His boutonniere was a peach rosebud surrounded by stephanotis and baby’s breath.

    Mrs. Dick’s attendants were Denise Thomas, Silver Lake, Peggy Teeter and Rhonda Hesse, Rossville, Mary Beth LeCluyse, Shawnee Mission, and Debbie Matthew, Manhattan.

    The bridesmaids were attired in identical gowns of peach colored organza, styled with low cut sweetheart neckline, empire bodice and slightly flared skirt. The tops were covered with sheer capes of matching peach organza. Their head coverings were peach colored picture hats caught up in the back with a silk rose and long ribbon streamers.

    They each carried a single long stemmed
    peach rose surrounded by baby's breath and greenery.

    Best man was Rodney Dick, Rossville, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were, Rick Gentry, Wilbur Stum and Karl French, all of Rossville, and Kirk Palmer, Manhattan.

    They Were attired in parchment tuxedos. Each wore a sprig of Lily of the Valley as a boutonniere.

    Janice Meyer, Rossville, organist, accom-panied vocalists Lyn and Vincent Zeller, Manhattan.

    Jennifer Dick and Mark Dudney served as flower girl and ring bearer. Candlelighters were Jayne Dick and JoAnna Gentry, all cousins of the groom, and all of Rossville.

    Ushers were Mike George, Trenton, Mo., Scott Dick and Steve McDiffitt, Rossville.

    The Reverend Paul Mitchell, Hiawatha, heard the exchange of vows.

    The reception following the ceremony was held at the Rossville American Legion Hall.

    Rene George and Linda George, Trenton, Mo., cousins of the bride, assisted with the gifts.

    Marcia Anderson and Deb Hanna, Silver Lake, catered the reception. They were assisted by Kay and Melinda Brooks, Duane (Hap) Anderson, and Tim Hanna.

    The reception table was centered with a three tiered fountain cake, surrounded with six-heart shaped cakes. All were decorated with peach colored roses, white pompons and greenery.

    Robin and Brenda Dudney, cousins of the groom, passed rice bags among the guests.
