| Marriage- Pearson, Irene-Cahill, John Pearson-Cahill
A lovely home wedding took place Sunday morning at 8 o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cal Pearson of Lyndon, when their daughter, Irene, became the bride of John L. Cahill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Cahill of Eskridge. Rev. E. 0. Burgett, of Topeka officiated.
Preceding the ceremony Mrs. Burgert sang “I Love You Truly,” and then played the wedding march. The bridal pair stood in front of an altar of flowers lighted with candles.
The bride wore a white chiffon dress and carried a bouquet of roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Elisa Mae Pearson and the groom’s attendant was his brother, Walter Cahill as best man.
Mrs. Cahill graduated from the Osage City high school and has been employed in the accounting department of the Bell Telephone Co. for a number of years.
Mr. Cahill graduated from the Rossville high school with the class of ’31 and made his home with his aunt, Mrs. Chettie Howard while attending school. He has a job as timekeeper for the Watson Construction Co. They will be at home after September 1, at 1122 West Third Street, in Topeka.
