| Marriage- Siegert, Joyce-Lassiter, Charles Miss Joyce Lynn Siegert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Siegert of Garland, Texas became the bride of Charles Whitfield Lassiter, son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Lassiter at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Garland, August 25.
For the double-ring ceremony the bride chose a gown of imported candlelight ivory organza and Venice lace. The tucked empire lace bodice featured a portrait neckline and short sleeves edged the exquisite lace. The A-line skirt flowed to the back to form an attached train from the crescendo of tiny gathers at the empire back. Lace edged the hemline and the tram. Her veil of imported candlelight illusion was attached to a contoured headpiece of Venice lace She carried a cascade of cymbidum orchids surrounded by cream roses and stephanotis.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Mrs. Denny Rowland, Garland, Texas, as matron of honor. Miss Vickie McClain, Rossville, was bridesmaid. The bridal, attendants wore gowns of aqua dotted swiss with empire waist and portrait neckline designed with a cotton lace trim. They carried spring colonial bouquets. Miss Lucy Ledbetter, Argyle, Texas, was flower girl, wearing a dress of white dotted swiss and aqua ribbon. Richie Cass, Garland, Texas, was ring bearer.
Mr. Archie McAfee, Plano, Texas, was best man. Ushers were Jay Siegert, brother of the bride and Greg Neffle, Dallas.
The reception was held at the church. Members of the house-party were Miss Linda Walker, Dallas; Miss Diane Siegert, Kansas City, Kansas, Ms. Sue Ledbetter, Argyle, Texas, and Mrs. Don Cass, Garland.
The bride was a June graduate of Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas. The groom was a 1970 graduate of Hinkley High School in Aurora, Colorado. Following a wedding trip, the couple will live in Houston.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Emert of Rossville.
