  Anniversary- Vorhies, Howard and Nellie Howard and Nellie Vorhies will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Moose Lodge. Hosts will be their daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Wayne Kasson, and their six grandchildren. The couple has eight great-grandchildren. Nellie Keich and Howard Vorhies were married June 23, 1937, in Topeka. Mr. Vorhies retired from Whelan Lumber Co. Mrs. Vorhies works part-time for Palmer News.
