| Marriage- Viergever, Sharon-Graves, Warren [Caption: Mr. and Mrs. Warren Graves]
Viergever-Graves vows exchanged
Mr. and Mrs. Chris Viergever announce the marriage of their daughter, Sharon Faye, to Warren Clifford Graves, son of Mrs. Harold Winters of Great Bend.
The marriage took place at 7:30 p.m. December 6 in the Rossville Christian Church. Rev. Ben Duerfeldt of Manhattan officiated at the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Janet Dodge, pianist, and Miss Carol Adams, soloist, provided the wedding music.
The bride wore a gown of satin brocade. The fitted bodice was designed with bridal point sleeves and a sweetheart neckline accented by a small self bow. The skirt, fashioned in a Victorian style, featured a carriage back that descended into an aisle-wide chapel train. A designer's rose appeared at the back of the waistline. Her waist-length veil of silk illusion fell from a pill box of satapeau encircled with re-embroidered Alencon lace beaded with seed pearls and iridescent sequins. She carried a cascade of American Beauty roses.
The bride was attended by her sister, Sue Viergever, as maid of honor, Mrs. Dan Viergever, as bridesmaid. They wore street-length dresses of delustered satin in cranberry red. The fitted bodice was designed with a scoop neckline and elbow-length sleeves. Inverted pleats formed the controlled bell skirt. Their circular maline veils were caught to a wedding ring band of delustered satin in a matching shade of red.
Don Rogers, Rossville, attended the bridegroom as best man and John Blackard of Delia was groomsman. Ushers were Joe Mitchell and Bert Blackard of Delia.
Tapers were lighted by Marie Stiles and Mrs. Tom Lacock, both of Rossville. Their dresses matched those worn by the attendants.
Flower girl was Melinda Viergever, niece of the bride, from Wakita, Okla. She wore a dress identical to those worn by the candlelighters and carried a basket of red rose petals.
The reception followed in the Community Center.
Mr. Graves and his bride have returned from a honeymoon in Oklahoma and are at home in Rossville.
The bride is a graduate of Rossville High School. She is now employed by the Bell Telephone Co. Mr. Graves is a graduate of Delia High School and is employed by Archer-Daniels and Midland Co.
