  Obituary- Patton, Caroline Mrs. Caroline Patton, aged 22 years, died Friday morning, Dec. 20th. The funeral services were solemnized at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon, the Rev. F.S. Allman officiating. The church was filled to its utmost capacity. The choir was present and sang some appropriate hymns. Mrs. Patton was a Catholic, but was denied the services of her church on account of having married a Protestant, if we are rightly informed. [From The Rossville Times, Friday, December 27, 1889]
