WILLARD — Adrienne M. Beer, 89, Willard, died Friday, Jan. 22, 1993, at her home.
Mrs. Beer had been a public school teacher, postmistress at Willard and worked in the State Assessor's Office at Topeka before she retired.
She was born Feb. 1, 1903, on a ranch near Willard, the daughter of Leonard and Adrianna Maria VanDong Viergever. She graduated from Rossville High School and attended Bethany College at Lindsborg.
She had lived at Concordia before she returned to Willard in 1950.
Mrs. Beer was a life member of Loyal Chapter No. 176 of the Order of Eastern Star at Silver Lake and a former member of the former Amaryllis Chapter No. 321 of the Order of Eastern Star at Rossville.
She was married to Peter A. Beer on Aug. 10, 1947, at Concordia. He died Jan. 5, 1993.
Survivors include an adopted daughter, Elberta J. Searcy, at home; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial will be in Dover Cemetery. Mrs. Beer will lie in state after 11 a.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Rossville Community Library, Rossville, 66533.
