| Obituary- Redmon, Lee 1 Lee Redmon
SMITHVILLE, Mo. – Lee L. Redmon, 56, Smithville, died Wednesday, March 28, 2001, in Smithville following a long illness.
Mr. Redmon was a mechanic at Garsight from m1987 to 1990 and he worked for Trans World Airlines through the International Association of Machinists from 1990 until his death. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Clamagore submarine.
He was born July 19, 1944, in Rossville, Kan., the son of Homer and Mary Redon. He had lived in Mayetta, Kan., and moved to Kansas City, Mo., after he was discharged from the military service.
Mr. Redmon was a member of First Christian Church in Smithville, where he served on the board of directors and diaconate team.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Redmon, Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Anna Lou Lahey, Anderson, Calif., and Mary A. Bryant and Monica Olson, both of Topeka; and six brothers, Theron Redmon, Chicago, Gene Redmon, Kansas City, Mo., Billy Redmon, Valley Falls, Edward Redmon and Lloyd Redmon, both of Topeka, and Don Redmon, Rossville.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church in Smithville. Inurnment with graveside military honors conducted by the Rossville Post of the American Legion will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Delia Cemetery in Delia, Kan.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3931 Sherman, St. Joseph, Mo., 64506.
Cox Funeral Home in Plattsburg, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
