• Documents » Slide Show		Obituary- Bixby, Doris DORIS A. BIXBY Doris A. Bixby, 73, Rossville, died late Thursday, September 15, 1983, at a St. Marys nursing home. She was born November 12, 1909, at Rossville, the daughter of Albert and Rosa Young Bixby, and spent all her life in the Rossville community. Miss Bixby was a member of Rossville Christian Church. Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Freel, Mrs. Mary Eggleston and Mrs. Melba Ziegler, all of Topeka, and Mrs. Vernadell Macha, Delia; and a brother, Oscar Bixby, Rossville. Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Rossville Christian Church. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery. The family met with friends from 3 to 5 Sunday afternoon at Verschelden Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Rossville Christian Church.
