Henry McGuire and Miss Monica Prockish were married Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. at St. Marys. The Rev. Father McNeive performing the ceremony. After the wedding mass the near relatives and friends of the bride and groom were given a wedding dinner and supper after which they spent the evening in dancing. The newly married couple were the recipients of many useful presents. Hose attending the wedding from Rossville were, Mrs. Mary Baker, George Baker and John Quirk; Fred Baker and wife and Joe McGuire of Valencia. The bride and groom have the best wishes of their many friends for a long and prosperous life.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry McGuire of Delia, announce the marriage of their daughter Josephine to Pius Voelker of Delia. The marriage occurred on Tuesday, September 21, and was quietly colemnized at 8 a. m., at the Sacred Heart church in Delia. The bride was attended by Miss Virginia Voelker of Topeka, a niece of the groom. The groom was attended by Clarence McGuire, brother of the bride.
The bride wore a dress of blue crepe trimmed in lace with black accessories and carried an arm bouquet of gladiolas and fern. The bridesmaid wore a dress of pink taffeta with black accessories and carried an arm bouquet of gladiolas and white roses.
A wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry McGuire. Those attending the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Voelker, Mr. and Mrs. Pius Voelker, Mr. and Mrs. Henry McGuire, all of Delia; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Knisley, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Voelker and family all of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Voelker and family of Hoyt; Mr. and Mrs. Gollus Voelker and family of Willard; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Bowers of Delia; Mrs. Lois McConnell of Rossville. Evening callers were Miss Ada Brashear, Robert Burgett of Delia; A. G. McConnell and Junior of Rossville;
Mr. and Mrs. Voelker will make their home north of Delia.

| Obituary- Voelker, Josephine Josephine Marie Voelker, 99, (17 days shy of turning 100) died on February 23, 2019 at the home of her daughter.
She was born in Rossville, Kansas on March 12, 1919, the daughter of Henry and Monica (Prockish) McGuire.
Josephine was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Church.
She married Pius Voelker in Delia, Kansas on September 21, 1937. He predeceased her on July 4, 1990 as well as a son Larry Wayne Voelker who died in 1992.
Survivors include a son, Melvin Voelker of St. Louis, MO and a daughter Sharon Banks of Berryton, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mrs. Voelker was cremated. Graveside inurnment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Joseph Catholic Church and sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66603.
