| Obituary- Bailey, Maxine Maxine Bixby
Maxine Faye Bixby, 68, Topeka, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at home.
She was born Dec. 24, 1931, in Topeka, to Harry and Alice Grosch Reamer. She graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1950. She spent most of her life in the Topeka and Silver Lake communities. She worked for the Postal Service out of the Gage Center station and delivered mail in the Dover community.
She was a member of Senior Citizens of East Topeka.
She married Ray J. Bixby on July 16 ,1950, in Silver Lake. He died Sept. 17, 1984. A grandson, David Alexander Reamer, died May 29, 1998.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond Bixby, Topeka, and Mark Reamer, Rossville; a daughter, Charlene Aubert, Topeka; a brother, George Reamer, Silver Lake; three sisters, Martha Root, Silver Lake, Mary Ann Davis, Gatesville, Texas, and Linda Burnett, Brookville; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery northwest of Topeka. Mrs. Bixby will lie in state from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
