| Marriage- Rogers, Jane-Fritz, Jerry Rogers-Fritz wedding in Rossville church
Jane Irene Rogers of Rossville and Jerry Fritz of Silver Lake were married at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 6, in the Rossville Methodist Church.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rogers of Rossville, attended Kansas State University where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Mr. Fritz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Fritz of Silver Lake, also attended Kansas State University and this summer was employed by Mid-Continental Construction Company of Wichita.
Both are enrolled at Emporia State College at Emporia for the fall term.
The Rev. Don Jones officiated at the wedding ceremony, Mrs. J.C. Campbell, pianist, and Mrs. Don Berkey, soloist, provided music.
The bride chose for her wedding a gown of imported hand-clipped Chantilly lace, with a fitted bodice with a scalloped sabrina neckline embroidered in sequins and seed pearls. Self-lace roses formed a curve on the back of the very full skirt which extended into an aisle wide chapel train. The veil of nylon tulle was held by a lace tiara embroidered in sequins and seed pearls. She wore a heart-shaped diamond necklace, a gift from the groom. Her bridal bouquet was a Colonial bouquet of feathered white carnations and petite pink roses.
The bride's attendants were Mrs. Richard Wood, Omaha, Linda Rezac, of Rossville, and Mrs. Charles Albright, of Silver Lake. Candles were lighted by Janet Louise Campbell, Rossville and Heather McAlpine, of Benton Harbor, Mich.
The attendants wore gowns of shell pink Italian raw silk with Chantilly lace. The gowns were designed on sheath lines and featured square necklines, cap sleeves and tunics of matching Chantilly lace. They carried Colonial bouquets of feathered pink carnations.
The candle lighters wore dresses of shell pink cotton satin with fitted bodices and full gathered skirts. Their headbands matched their dresses.
Catherine Parr, flower girl, wore a shell pink cotton satin dress with a fitted bodice and full gathered skirt. She carried a basket of rose petals. Bobby Fritz, of Bloomington, Ind., carried the rings on a heart-shaped satin pillow, made by the bride's aunt, Mrs. Warren Pendleton.
Attending the bridegroom were Gene Allen, Concordia; Don Rogers, Rossville; and Charles Albright, Silver Lake.
The reception was given at the home of the bride after the service. Assisting were Mrs. Rolland Parr, Rossville; Mrs. Robert Taylor, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. C.B. Guth, Wamego; Monroe and Barbara Fritz, Bloomington, Ind.; Mrs. William Hesse, Mrs. H.C. McCoid, Mrs. W.W. Pendleton, Mrs. H.N. Stiles, Laura Stiles, Marilene Pendleton, all of Rossville, Mrs. Fred Zaleuka, and Mrs. Duane Hudson, Topeka.
After a wedding trip to Colorado, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz will be at home at 1005 East Sixth, in Emporia.
