| Obituary- Brown, Nadine Nadine Bleyler Tibbs Brown
SILVER LAKE – Nadine Bleyler Tibbs Brown, 84, formerly of Republic, Kansas, died Wednesday, October 12, 2005 at the Tibbs family farm near Silver Lake.
She was born August 9, 1921, at Grove, the daughter of Harry P. and Dora B. Howell Tibbs.
She married Garald B. Brown at the Danforth Chapel on the University of Kansas Campus on May 19, 1951. They lived on a farm near Republic. He died August 29, 1999. Nadine was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother DeLloyd O. Tibbs, of Winter Haven, FL., on October 4, 2000.
Mrs. Brown returned to the Tibbs family farm in 2001 to live with family members.
She graduated from Silver Lake High School and the University of Kansas with a Fine Arts Degree, majoring in music education. Nadine had taught school in Shawnee County, North Central Kansas and Southern Nebraska.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Republic United Methodist Church where she served as organist.
Survivors include a daughter, Marvalie I, and her husband William Foresman; a grandson, Brett Foresman; a granddaughter Bretta Foresman; two sisters, Marvalie A. and her husband Derryl Johnson, Marjorie I. and her husband, Marvin Hromada all of Topeka; a brother, Gerald Tibbs, and his wife Betty, Wichita; two nieces, Pamela Tibbs, Kansas City, and Jana and her husband Eric Snyder, and their children, Ian Snyder and Annica Snyder, Wichita; a sister-in-law, Marcelle Tibbs, Winter Haven, Florida, loving relatives and many special friends.
A graveside service will at 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 14, 2005 in the Walnut Hill Cemetery north of Silver Lake.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Silver Lake United Methodist Church or to the Republic United Methodist Church and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home 714 Maple, St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
