| Obituary- Christie, Nadine 1 Nadine Murry Christie
Nadine Murry Christie, 66, Topeka, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1992, at a Topeka hospital after she had a cerebral hemorrhage.
Mrs. Christie was a credit manager for the J.C. Penny Co. when she retired in 1988.
She was born Dec. 15, 1925, at Delia, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Hanrahan Murry. She was graduated from Delia High School and attended St. Marys College.
Mrs. Christie was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, St. Vincent’s Guild and Daughters of Isabella.
She was married to Donald M. Christie July 11, 1949, at Topeka. He died in 1968.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Murry Christie and Richard Gregory Christie, both of Topeka; two sisters, Darlene Gilsdorf, Kansas City, Mo., and Helen Madden, Laguna Niguel, Calif,; and a brother, Harold Murry, Reno, Nev.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Christie will lie in state after 7 p.m. today and from 8 until 10 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral home where a parish rosary will re recited at 7;30 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nadine Christie Shunga Trail Memorial Fund in care of Bank IV, 534 S. Kansas Ave. 66603.
After her death Mrs. Christie’s family honored her wish to be an organ donor.
