| Obituary- Langworthy, Paul Paul Langworthy
Paul Langworthy, 94, passed away Aug. 19, 2017, with his family by his side.
He is survived by his wife, Jean, of 69 years; daughter, Linda Butler (Jim); son, Richard Langworthy (Cindy); 6 grandchildren, and
6 great-grandchildren.
Paul was born and raised in Nortonville, Ks. He served as an Army Sargent in WWII, the Battle of the Bulge, and parts of Europe for 5 years. After the war he returned to Kansas and drove a truck for the Fleming Co. for 35 years. Paul and Jean started their lives together in Topeka, then built a home in Silver Lake, Ks. where they lived for 50 years. They only recently moved to Vancouver, Wa. where Jean resides now.
Fishing, gardening and traveling occupied their retired years. He lived a full and happy life and maintained his sense of humor and would still laugh at a joke even in his final days.
He will be greatly missed and forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
Graveside services for family members will be held at Penwell Gable Cemetery, 6th and Gage, on Sept 30 at 1:00pm. A celebration of his life for everyone will be at 3:00pm at the Holiday Inn Express, 10th and Wanamaker.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Paul’s name to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1650,3110 SW Huntoon St., Topeka, Ks 66604.
