| Obituary- Cleveland, Lewis LEWIS C. CLEVELAND
Lewis C. Cleveland, aged 75 years, 9 months and 5 days died at his home in Osceola, Mo., Sunday evening, May 25, 1924, after an illness of several weeks. The body was brought to Topeka Monday and from their brought in the Conwell funeral car to Rossville for interment Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased gentleman was a native of Fairview, Randolph county, Indiana, where he was born August 20, 1848.
He enlisted when a very young boy at the beginning of the last year of civil war.
After coming to Kansas he entered the employ of the Union Pacific and for 30 years worked as agent and operator, retiring in 1905. At the time he retired he was agent at Silver Lake where he worked continuously for 26 year, except for a few months as operator at Rossville. After leaving Silver Lake he moved to Osceola, Mo.
Mr. Cleveland was a member of the Methodist church. He is survived by his wife and one brother, Mr. A. A. Cleveland, of Kansas City, Mo. One child is buried in the Rossville cemetery.
