    Otis W. Compton
    Otis W. Compton, 83, 1135 College, formerly of 2118 Moundview, died at a Topeka retirement home.
    Mr. Compton was a farmer and stockman near Wakarusa before he retired in 1974 and moved to Topeka.
    He was born Aug. 1, 1901 at Menoken, the son of Guy and Grace Kistler Compton. He spent most of his life in the Topeka community.
    Mr. Compton was a member of Seabrook Congregational Church at Topeka.
    He was married Sept. 18, 1927 to Lettie Page at Silver Lake. She survives.
    Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Shirley McCoy, Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Leah Carroll, Topeka, and Mrs. Ina Shenk, Wichita; and a granddaughter.
    Mr. Compton was cremated. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Tibbitts-Griffin Highland Chapel. Inurnment is pending. Memorial contributions may be made to Seabrook Congregational Church, 4425 S.W. 19th, Topeka, 66604.
