ROSSVILLE -- Mrs. Annette Elaine “Ann” Conner, 36, Rossville, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1986, at a Topeka hospital. She had cancer.
Mrs. Conner was an artist and had previously worked for Doug’s Pharmacy at Rossville before she became ill.
She was born April 12, 1950 at Madera, Calif., the daughter of James R. and Mildred Elaine Noble Smith. She lived in Topeka from 1966 to 1976 when she moved to Rossville.
Mrs. Conner was a member of Highland Park Church of Christ. She attended junior high schools in Salina, and was graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1968.
She was married to James D. “Don” Conner Jr., Dec. 14, 1968, in Topeka. He survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Elaine Marie Conner, at home; a son, James Donald Conner. III, at home; her father, James R. Smith, Fresno, Calif.; and three brothers, Russell R. Smith, Rossville, Mark L. Smith, Cape Coral, Fla., and Kenyon C. Smith, Fresno, Calif.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Rossville Cemetery. Mrs. Conner will lie in state after 1 p.m. today at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Family Services, 10901 Granada, Suite No. 102, Overland Park, 66211.

Mrs. Annette Elaine Conner, 36, Rossville, died Sunday, November 16,1986, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. She was born April 12, 1950, at Madera, Calif., the daughter of James R. and Mildred Elaine Noble Smith.
Mrs. Conner was a resident of Topeka from 1966 to 1976 when she moved to Rossville.
Mrs. Conner was an artist and previously worked for Doug’s Pharmacy at Rossville before her illness.
She was a member of Highland Park Church of Christ. She attended Junior High School in Salina, and graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1968.
She was married to James D. “Don” Conner, Jr. on December 14, 1968, at Topeka. He survives of the home. Her mother, Mildred Elaine Smith preceded her in death in 1980.
Surviving in addition to her husband and a daughter, Elaine Marie Conner, of the home; a son, James Donald Conner, III, of the home; her father, James R. Smith, Fresno, Calif.; three brothers, Russell F. Smith, Rossville, Mark L. Smith, Cape Coral, Fla., and Kenyon C. Smith, Fresno, Calif.
Graveside services and interment was held Wednesday, November 19, 1986, at Rossville Cemetery. The family received friends on Tuesday evening at the Parker-Price Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Family Services; 10901 Granada; Suite No. 102; Overland Park, Ks. 66211.
