| Obituary- Cook, Leonard Leonard L. Cook Sr.
Leonard L. Cook Sr., 63, Rossville, died Tuesday, May 26, 1987, at a Topeka hospital.
Mr. Cook was manager of a Van Vleck Auto Supply Store in Topeka 17 years. He later managed the Apco service stations in Rossville before he retired in 1986.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
He was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Topeka, the son of Calvin A. and Pearl Nickelson Cook. He lived in Topeka before he moved to Rossville in 1977.
Mr. Cook was a member of the United Methodist Church and Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion, both in Rossville.
He was married to Helen L. Queen Dec. 11, 1976, at Rossville. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Deborah Ann Lorraine Douglas, Baldwin, and Mrs. Marcia Grice, Topeka; three sons, Leonard Leroy Cook Jr., Dallas, Texas, and David A. Cook, and Mitchell D. Cook, both in Topeka; two stepsons, Douglas J. Queen, Rossville, and John L. Queen, Manhattan; his mother, Mrs. Pearl Cook, Topeka; a sister, Mrs. Roberta Cook Atkins, Topeka; three brothers, Calvin Cook, Charles Cook and Melvin Cook, all in Topeka; and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Rossville. Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion will conduct graveside services in Rossville Cemetery. Mr. Cook will lie in state after 11 a.m. today at Davidson Funeral Home where relatives and friends will meet from 7 until 8 p.m. Thursday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church in Rossville, 66533.
