| Obituary- Stumbaugh, William 1 William Stumbaugh Dead.
Again our hearts are saddened by Death. William Stumbaugh, an old and respected citizen of Rossville, passed away at his home on Orange street last Monday after an illness of a few weeks. "Uncle Billy," as he was familiarly called by those who knew him best, had been suffering for some time past from inflammatory rheumatism. His friends were not alarmed, however, until complications set in early last week. He grew steadily worse in spite of the best medical skill and his life gradually faded away.
Funeral services were held at the home on Orange street, Tuesday at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Armstrong, after which the body was consigned to the grave in the Rossville city cemetery. "Uncle Billy" was kind and generous, with a bright and cheerful disposition. Those who knew him best respected him most.
William Stumbaugh was born in Pennsylvania. He had been a resident of this community for the past 18 years. He leaves one brother, George Stumbaugh, living a few miles west of Rossville, and three sisters in Pennsylvania.
