Geo. Cook, one of the oldest inhabitants of this city, died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Wm. Wade, in the west part of town, last Saturday afternoon from an attack of dysentery.
Fr. DeSmedt, was called a few hours before death and administered the sacred rites of the Catholic Church. The funeral services were conducted at the house by the Rev. Fr. DeSmedt after which the body was buried in the city cemetery. Mr. Cook was 65 years old and had made his home in this city for more than 30 years.
