| Obituary- York, Charles Chas. York Dead
News has been received by Rossville friends of the death of Charles York, 73, who passed away at 5 a.m. July 10. The immediate cause of death was cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. York fell from the roof of his home on July 2 and never reganed conscousness [sic regained consciousness]. Internment [sic interment] was in Englewood Park, Thursday, July 13.
Mr. and Mrs. York are former Rossville residents. He spent his early life here on the farm southwest of town owned by Mr. and Mrs. Charles Berkey.
Beside his widow, he is survived by one son Lawrence.
Rossville friends have received word from Los Angeles, that Charlie York, fell from the roof of his home and was dangerously injured. The accident occurred Sunday, July 2nd and at the time the letter was written--July 6th, he was still unconscious. Both Mr. and Mrs. York are former Rossville citizens. His wife was formerly Pet Laurence. |
