| Obituary- Day, Irving OPERATION FOR APPENDICITIS FATAL FOR DELIA BOY
Irving Day, aged 13, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Calloway Day, of Delia, died Monday morning in a To¬peka hospital following an operation for appendicitis. The boy became ill Saturday morning and Dr. Miller was called. He advised the boy’s removal at once to a hospital and the opera¬tion was performed Saturday even¬ing at 7 o’clock.
The funeral will not be held until tomorrow (Friday) morning at 11 o’clock to await the arrival of a sis¬ter of the dead boy from Idaho. Ser¬vices will be held in the Adrian U.B. church. The body will be brought to Rossville cemetery for burial.
Beside the parents Irving is survived by four sisters - Mrs. Alva Nelson and Mrs. Cassie Reser, of To¬peka; Mrs. Emma Jones, of Paul, Idaho; Miss Hattie Day of the home address; two brothers — Elva Day of Topeka and Rufus Day of the home address.
