Mr. and Mrs. George W. DeBacker, Sr. will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, Sunday, April 16, with a reception in their home to be hosted by their sons and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. DeBacker, Kansas City, and Mr. and Mrs. George DeBacker, Jr., Delia.
No invitations are being sent but friends and relatives are invited to call between 2:00 and 4:00p.m. The couple asked that no gifts be presented.
Mr. and Mrs. DeBacker were married April 26, 1922, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Delia and will celebrate the Anniversary Mass on the 16th.
They have resided in the Delia community their 50 years where he has been a farmer and cattleman.
The DeBackers have five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Gerald DeBacker, 58, Belton, Mo., died Saturday, May 9, 1981, at a Kansas City hospital.
He was born October 21, 1922, in Delia, and lived much of his life in the Kansas City area.
Mr. DeBacker owned DeBacker Chevrolet in Belton, and was a partner in Feld Chevrolet in Kansas City.
He was a member of St. Sabina Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, both in Belton, and Motor Car Dealers Association of Kansas City.
He was married to Vida DeBacker, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Gerald DeBacker Jr., New Orleans, and Randy DeBacker, Rossville; a daughter, Mrs. Romera Whiteford, Baldwin; his mother, Mrs. George DeBacker, St. Marys; two stepsons, Chris Depperman and Bruce Depperman, both of the home; two stepdaughters, Sally Dep¬perman and Dawn Depperman, both of the home; and a brother, George DeBacker, Delia.
Mass of the Resurrection was said at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Sabina Catholic Church in Belton. The body was cremated.
A wake service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mount Moriah Funeral Home in Kansas City.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church and sent in care of the funeral home.
