| Obituary- Denton, Clifford Clifford ‘Chink’ Denton
ST. MARYS — Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Verschelden Chapel in St. Marys for Clifford "Chink” Denton, 81, St. Marys. He died Thursday, July 14, 1994, at his home.
Mr. Denton was a jobber for Philips Petroleum Co. for 35 years. He also owned and operated Denton Salvage until he retired in 1975.
He was born Aug. 11, 1912, in Rossville, the son of Jesse and Matilda McCoy Denton. He had lived in St. Marys since 1933.
He was married to Kathryn Zemek on May 24, 1933, in St. Marys. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Larry D. Denton and Gary L. Denton, both of St. Marys, and Thomas P. Denton, Silver Lake; a daughter, Marlene K. Sack, St. Marys; a brother, Lloyd Denton, Sun City West, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great¬grandchildren.
Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in St. Marys. Mr. Denton will lie in state after 10 a.m. today at the funeral chapel where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
