Funeral services for Nellie May Bahner,
78, were at 2:30 p.m., Thursday in Harvey Chapel at Ardmore, Okla., with the Rev. Gene Cormier of the Memorial Christian Church officiating and the Rev. Harwood Rowe of the First United Methodist Church of Wilson assisting. Interment was in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bahner died Monday, April 4, 1977 in a Wilson, Okla, nursing home. She was born November 30, 1898, in Sheffield, Ia. She married Waldo Bahner on February 23, 1920, in Mason City, Ia. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wilson, a fifth-year member of the Wilson Eastern Star, and a member of the American Legion, Auxiliary for over 50 years.
Mrs. Bahner was well-known by many people in the Rossville and Delia areas.
Survivors include her husband, Waldo, of the home; two sisters, Helen Dirst, Tulsa, Okla., and Amy Chaney, Rockford, Ill.; and two brothers, Walter Thomas, Los Angeles, Calif., and Earl Thomas, Earl, Wis. Services were under the direction of Harvey Funeral Home. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Fairbanks went to Ardmore to attend the funeral of Geneva’s aunt.
