Gleason
Harold and Phyllis Gleason will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Dover Community Center.
Harold served 2 years in the Army. He retired after 37 years at the Santa Fe Shops as a sheet metal worker. Phyllis was a homemaker.
They have 1 son, Richard (Jenette) of Winnemucca, Nev., and 1 daughter, Sharon (Glen) Bishop of Rossville; 5 grand-children, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
They request no gifts.

Phyllis N. Gleason, 82, of Dover passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
She was born Nov. 27, 1929, on a farm south of Dover, the daughter of Everette J. and Lula Moran Thomas. Phyllis lived in the Dover community all of her life. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Gleason was a member of the Dover Federated Church, the Ladies Aide and a past member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by a son Terry Gleason on April 23 ,2003. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil and Clayton Thomas, and two sisters, Geraldine and Betty Thomas. On Aug. 12, 1947, she was united in marriage to Harold Gleason at St. Marys. They celebrated their 65th anniversary on Aug. 12. Harold survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Richard Glea-son and wife Jenette of Winnemucca, Nev.; her daughter, Sharon Bishop and husband Glen of Rossville; a brother, Elden Thomas and wife Jerry, Burlingame; two sisters-in-law, Mary Thomas and Ida Thomas, both of Harveyville; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were Aug. 20 at the Keene Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice and send in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple, St. Marys, KS 66536.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 A.M. Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Keene Cemetery. Mrs. Gleason will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 P.M.
