Larry Gene Flickinger, 66, Belle Plaine, formerly of Topeka, died Saturday, Sept. 9.2000, at a Wichita hospital.
He was born Nov. 29, 1933, in Topeka. He spent most of his life in Topeka before he moved to Belle Plaine in Sumner County about three years ago. He was a railroad electrician before he retired.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Belle Plaine Lodge No. 173, AF&AM, both in Belle Plaine, and Midian Shrine in Wichita. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and Excel RV Club.
He married Darlene Cottle on Sept. 7, 1951, in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Debbra Wells, Mulvane, and Jean Orton, Belle Plaine; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Belle Plaine. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rossville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Funeral Home in Topeka.
Memorial contributions may be made to Midian Shrine, 130 N. Topeka, Wichita, 67202. Hatfield-Smith Mortuary in Belle Plaine is in charge of arrangements.
