Herbert Reinhard Green, 83, Route 8, died Friday in a Topeka hospital where he was admitted Feb. 18.
He was born Jan. 31, 1895, in the Willard community west of Topeka. He spent most of his life southeast of Willard and spent a few years in Rossville.
He was an Army veteran of World War I, having served with Battery B in the 58th Field Artillery.
He was married to Clara M. Lambotte in September, 1920, at Lawrence. She survives.
A daughter, Mrs. Virgil Arnold, 712 Western, also survives.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.

Herbert Reinhard Green, 83, Route 8, Topeka, died Friday, March 24, 1978, in a Topeka hospital where he was admitted February 18.
He was born January 31, 1895, on a farm southeast of the Willard community west Topeka. He was the only child of John and Tena Reinhard Green. He resided on this farm for seventy-seven years, from which he retired, as a farmer and stockman in 1972, when he moved to Rossville.
He was an Army veteran of World W having served with Battery B in the 58th Field Artillery in 1918.
He was married to Clara M. Lambotte in September, 1920, at Lawrence. She survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Ernestine) Arnold, Topeka, and a cousin, Herbert F. Reinhard, Boston, Mass.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.
