| Obituary- Harrier, Orville Orville N. Harrier
Orville N. Harrier, 79, Rossville, died Saturday, February 15, 2003, at his home.
He was born June 2, 1923, in Hiawatha, the son of Phineas and Effie Cochran Harrier.
He grew up in the Netawaka community and was graduated from Netawaka High School. He was an auto and truck mechanic and had worked many years for Kansas Sand and Concrete in Topeka. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local 696. He was a member of the Wakarusa Presbyterian Church and attended the Rossville Presbyterian Church.
On June 2, 1945, he married Hazel Lockhart in Topeka. She survives.
Other survivors are two daughters, Cheryl Wright, Silver Lake, and Becky Dismang, Topeka; a brother, Phillip Harrier, Meriden; three grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Matthew and Alicia Dismang.
Mr. Harrier bequeathed his body to The University of Kansas Medical School. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Rossville Presbyterian Church.
