OBITUARIES
ELLEN BAILEY
Mrs. Ellen Bailey, 89, Silver Lake, died Saturday, February 15, 1981, at a Topeka hospital.
She was born November 4, 1891, at West Liberty, Ky., the daughter of Frank and Abbie Hutchinson Day. She came to Kansas in 1909 and lived in the Silver Lake community for 52 years.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of East ' Side Baptist Church, Topeka.
She was married to Ollie Bailey on August 24, 1905, at West Liberty, Ky. He died February 23, 1959. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Abbie Bailey, and two sons, Arnold Bailey and Woodrow Bailey.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Delphia Meyer, Neodesha, Mrs. Velta Chase, Mrs. Iva Thompson, and Mrs. Lula Chiddix, all of Topeka; three sons, Glen Bailey, Webber, Raymond Bailey and Ollie Bailey Jr., both of Topeka; 22 grandchildren; 44 great¬grandchildren; and seven great-great- grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Parker-Price Mortuary. Burial was in Walnut Hill Cemetery, north of Silver Lake. Memorial contributions may be made to East Side Baptist Church, 614 California, Topeka, Ks. 66607.
