| Obituary- Hejtmanek, Sr., George E. OBITUARY
George Hejtmanek was born in Wisowitz, Moravia, Austria, Sept. 25, 1851 and died at Delia, Kans. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 1925.
He came to Rossville, Kans. May 1, 1880 and made his home on a farm on Cross Creek 7 miles north of Rossville and has lived in that community ever since. He was married to Anna Ondra in 1876 at Wisoxvitz, Moravia. To this union eight children were born, three having died in infancy. There remain to mourn his loss, his wife, four sons and a daughter: George, Frank,
Charles, Lewis and Mrs. Wm. Kovar, all of Delia, Kansas.
He early in life gave his heart to God and was confirmed in the Lutherran church. When the Presbyterian Church at Delia was being built he gave liberally of his time and money towards its construction, and later became a member of this church.
Funeral services were held in the Delia Church, Thursday, Jan. 8, conducted by the Rev. G. C. Albin, of Rossville, and the Rev. F. Paroulek, of Wahoo, Neb. Burial was in the Czech-Moravian cemetery south of Delia.
