Mr. Frank R. Dannefer and Miss Nell Shideller were married at the home of the bride's parents at Seabrook, Tuesday, June 29, Rev. Mr. Reed, of the Mission Creek Church officiating. Miss Shideller taught school for several years in the south part of the county and was a very popular young lady in that neighborhood.
Mr. Dannefer is the young[missing] of Mrs. R. Dannefer, living one mile northeast of Rossville. Mr. Dannefer with his mother came to Rossville early this spring from Cuba, Kansas, where he was raised. The young people will make their home on the Dannefer farm. |

ROSSVILLE - Mrs. Lulu D. Hill, 55, Rossville, died Thursday morning at her home. She had a stroke.
She was born Sept. 6, 1919, at Rossville and had lived in Rossville most of her life. She lived in Washington, D.C. from 1941 to 1947 while employed as a legal secretary for the United States Navy.
She was also a secretary for the Kansas Neurological Institute from 1961 to 1967.
Mrs. Hill had attended public schools in Rossville and was graduated from Clarks School of Business in Topeka.
She was a 25-year member of Amaryllis Chapter No. 321, Order of Eastern Star at Rossville. She was also a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church where she served as organist for many years until 1967.
She was married to William B. Hill in 1942 in Washington, D.C. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Gary Hill, 1901 Illinois, Topeka; a brother, Frank Danefer [sic Dannefer] Jr., Rossville; a sister, Mrs. Doris Ketner, Norman, Okla.; and a grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rossville Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, 240 Greenwood, Wichita, Kan., 67201.
