  Obituary- Holmes, Travis Travis Lee Holmes SILVER LAKE — Travis Lee Holmes, 16, Silver Lake, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1992, at a Topeka hospital following an asthma attack. He was born March 29, 1976, in Topeka, the son of Ricky L. and Janet Holmes. He attended Silver Lake High School where he was an honor roll student and had earned National honors in mathematics. He also was on the Yearbook staff and was active in football and wrestling. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Janet and Greg Hanna, Silver Lake; his father and stepmother, Ricky and Sandy Holmes, Rossville; a brother Todd Holmes, Silver Lake; two stepbrothers, Michael Bloomer and Bryan Bloomer, Rossville; two stepsisters, Lindsey Hanna, Silver iLake, and Alesha Bloomer, Rossville; grandparents, Frank and Gene Killinger Jr., and Lyman E. and Dorothy Holmes, all in Topeka; a great-grandmother, Hazel McCullough, Topeka; and stepgrandparents, Arlene Hanna, Kerrville, Texas, and Helen Guardiola, St. Mary's. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at (Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Holmes will lie in state after noon today at the funeral home where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
