| Obituary- French, Howard R. 1 Howard French
ROSSVILLE – Howard R. French, 60, Route 1, Rossville, died Thursday in a Topeka hospital of an apparent heart attack.
He was born Dec. 11, 1909, in Ford County, Kan., and had lived in the Rossville area most of his life.
He was a farmer.
He was a member of Hesperin Lodge. No. 111, and the United Methodist Church, both in Rossville. He also was a member of both the Oak and Moose Lodges in Topeka.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bernice French, at home; three sons, Gary French, Route 8, Topeka; Laird French, Rossville, and Douglas French, at home; a sister, Mrs. Lottie Chapman, Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, William French, Folleet, Tex. and L. G. French, Scottsdale, Ariz., and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.
Mr. French will lie in state at Wall-Diffenderfer until time of services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rossville United Methodist Church.
