| Obituary- Hopkins, Bertha L. d.1905 Mrs. Bertha Hopkins, died at her home in Shawnee, Ok., Wednesday, March 18, 1905 at the age of 26 yrs. Her death was due to blood poisoning induced by childbirth. Her maiden name was Templin. The oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Templin who reside at Silver Lake, Kansas. Besides her husband and parents she leaves two children, little boys, aged two and four years, also two brothers and one sister who live with their parents at the Lake.
The funeral services were held in the M.E. Church at this place last Friday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. J.G. Mayer of Topeka. The funeral was very largely attended, the church being crowded to the doors with sympathizing friends and neighbors. The burial took place in the Rossville cemetery.
The bereaved husband returned to Oklahoma Sunday where he will ship his goods and return to this city to make his home. The two children are in care of the grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Hopkins.
