    Richard G. Hundertfund Sr.
    Richard G. Hundertfund Sr., 78, Topeka, died Tuesday, October 11, 1994, at a Topeka nursing home.

    Mr. Hundertfund operated heavy equipment for the City of Topeka Forestry Department until he retired in 1975. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

    He was born June 2, 1916, in Silver Lake, the son of Frederick George and Katie Evelyn Rankin Hundertfund.

    He was married to Hazel Elaine Hardten on August 9, 1940, in Lawrence. She died November 13, 1983.

    Survivors include a son, Richard G. Hundertfund Jr., Topeka; three daughters, Charlotte E. Rak, Sussex, NJ, and Janet K. Paramino and Sheila A. Simmons, both of Topeka; a brother, Marvin “Dutch” Hundertfund, Topeka; a sister, Arlis Stach, Rossville, nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

    Services were at 9 a.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial with military graveside honors conducted by a Fort Riley Military Detail was at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka.

    Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Independent Living Resource Center, Inc., 3258 SW Topeka Blvd., Topeka, 66611, or to Manor Care Nursing Center, 2515 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, 66614.

    Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka. Burial with military graveside honors conducted by a Fort Riley Military Detail will be at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka. Mr. Hundertfund will lie in state after 1 p.m. today at the mortuary where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
