| Obituary- James, Joseph Joseph I. James
Joseph I. James, 82, Brighton, Co., died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001. He was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Rossville, the son of Roy and Bertha Young.
Mr. James attended Rossville schools. He served in the Navy during World War II. His interests included fishing and playing the organ.
On Oct. 27, 1947, he married Aileen Ohmer in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include four daughters, Rita Whitehouse, Roy, Utah; Patricia Strong, Corona, Ca.; Barbara Peterson, Houston, Texas; and Janet Nielsen, Arvada, Co.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was a cousin of Vernadel Macha and Melba Ziegler.
His service was Oct. 6, at Rice Mortuary in Brighton, Co. Mr. James was cremated.
