    Levi Henderson

    Levi Lewis Henderson, 79, retired official in the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, died Monday at his home in Rossville. He was born January 5, 1879, at Lincoln Center. He lived in Rossville many years. He was a member of the Rossville Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge and the Government Retired Civil Service Employees Association.

    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella Henderson of the home; two sons, Ralph Lewis Henderson, Omaha, Ne., and Homer J. Henderson, Englewood, Ca.; a sister, Mrs. Doris McCall, Lawrence; a half-brother, Roscoe Strimple, Freewater, Ore.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Rossville Methodist Church with Masonic graveside services at Rossville Cemetery. Hurley Funeral Home of Rossville is in charge of arrangements.

    Levi Henderson dies at hospital

    Levi Lewis Henderson, 79, retired official in the U. S. Bureau of Indian Affairs, died Monday at a Topeka hospital. He underwent surgery a few weeks ago and it was thought he was improving when death came suddenly.

    He was born January 5, 1879, at Lincoln Center, fie had lived in Rossville many years. He was a member of the Rossville Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge and the Government Retired Civil Service Employees Association.

    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Stella Henderson of the home; two sons, Ralph Lewis Henderson, Omaha, Neb., and Homer J. Henderson, Inglewood, Calif.; a sister. Mrs. Doris McCall, Lawrence; a half-brother, Roscoe Strimple, Freewater, Ore.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
