    Lee Frank Herrick
    Lee Frank Herrick, 68, Rossville, died Monday, Jan, 23, 1989 at a Topeka hospital. Mr. Herrick had a long history of medical problems.

    Mr. Herrick was a heavy equipment and truck mechanic many years.

    He was born May 16, 1920, at Bushong in Lyon County, the son of Frank and Zlenna Love Herrick. He attended school in the Maxon community north of Emporia.

    Mr. Herrick served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.

    He was a member of Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion in Rossville and a past member of both Meriden and McLouth threshing show committees.

    Mr. Herrick was divorced.

    Survivors include three sons, Lee Frank Herrick Jr., Topeka, William Herrick, Rossville, and Fred Lee Herrick, in Oklahoma; two daughters, Karen Wescott, Kent, Wash., and Vickie Herrick, Marshall, Mo.; three sisters, Berniel Colglazier, Pueblo, Colo., Ione Hubert, Topeka, and Ila Whitlock, Rossville; five brothers, Dale K. Herrick, Robert R. Herrick, Harold G. Herrick, Gary L. Herrick, all of Topeka, and Ira E. Herrick, Eskridge; and many grandchildren.

    Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31 of the American Legion will conduct graveside services at Stull Cemetery east of Topeka. Mr. Herrick will lie in state after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home where relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
