| Obituary- Keigley, Thomas T.A. KEIGLEY, FORMER ROSSVILLE RESIDENT, TO BE BURIED HERE
Mr. T. A. Keigley died at his home at Westphalia, Kansas, Monday. The body will be brought to Rossville tomorrow (Friday) forenoon and the body interred in Rossville cemetery. A short funeral service will be held at the cemetery. The following old friends will act as pall bearers; Mr. David Hartzell, Mr. John Reed, Mr. Harry James, Mr. A. B. Jamieson, Mr. C. E. Cless, Mr. I. T. Hopkins.
No details of Mr. Keigley’s illness have not been received.
The deceased gentleman was for many years a resident of Rossville township. He formerly lived on the farm now occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Walter McCleary. Later he purchased the farm across the road west and built the improvements. This farm is now owned by Mr. Harvey James.
The death of T. A. Keigley came as a great shock to his family and friends. The Keigley family was one of our best known and respected families, coming here from Green county, Penn., in 1877, and remaining a resident of Shawnee county until eight years ago they purchased a farm near Westphalia, Kansas, where he died August 17, 1924.
Mr. Keigley was a farmer of unusual ability and a man loved by all who knew him. One whose word was a good as his bond, and in his death we have lost an honorable citizen. The body was taken to Rossville for burial on August 23, 1924.
His widow, Mrs. Jennie Keigley, two daughters, Mrs. R. W. Hitchcock of Wellington, Kansas, and Mrs. Daisy Lee Greeley of Los Angeles and a son of Portland, Oregon, have our sincere sympathy.
