| Obituary- Kemble, Florence Florence Kemble
The community was saddened last Friday, by news of the death of Mrs. Florence Kemble, which occurred Thursday night, at her home near Dover, from internal injuries received in a coasting accident.
Mr. and Mrs. Kemble were coasting with their two sons Donald and Duane after school about 5:30 when the accident occurred. Each one took turn to ride down a slope from the house. Mrs. Kemble evidently lost control of the sled as it shot across a ditch and hit the bank on the opposite side. Mr. Kemble rushed to her and hurried her to the house, where she regained consciousness only long enough to say, to him, she was hurt in her chest and then quietly passed away. The Doctor and nurse had been summoned but arrived too late.
Florence, the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. J.V. Rezac, was born April 3, 1907 near Rossville. She completed the high school course here and graduated in 1923. In 1926 she was united in marriage to William Kemble and since has made her home near Dover. To this union was born three sons.
Mrs. Kemble was a kind, devoted and happy wife and mother and a warm friend to all who knew her.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 in the Dover Federated church, conducted by the Rev. Randolph, of Council Grove. Vocal solos were sung by Mr. Firestone of Dover. Burial was made in the Dover cemetery.
