Mrs. Stella Kovar, 68, Route 1, Rossville, died Friday at a Topeka hospital.
She was born Feb. 29, 1908, at Rossville, and spent her life in the Rossville- Delia area. She was a member of Moravian Lodge No. 128, Rossville.
She was married to Peter Kovar Jan. 23,1929, in Rossville. He survives.
Other survivors include one son, Earl Kovar, Liberty, Mo.; three daughters, Miss Betty Kovar, Kansas City, Mrs. Agnes Rafferty, Rossville, and Mrs. Evelyn Thompson, Milwaukee, Wis.; six brothers, Emil Martinek, Albert Martinek, Henry Martinek and Bennie Martinek, all of Rossville, and Vince Martinek and William Martinek, both of Silver Lake; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Kozak, Osage City, Mrs. Mae Brown, Kansas City, and Mrs. Helen Macha, Council Grove, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary. Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
