    Mrs. Pauline Kratina
    Mrs. Pauline Kratina, 79, 1942 N. Quincy, died Friday in a Topeka hospital following a short illness.

    She was born June 23,1896, in Czechoslovakia. She moved to the United States with her family when she was 13 and lived in Texas.

    She was employed by the bakery department of the YMCA in Chicago for many years.

    She was a member of the Western Bohemian Fraternal Association and was a 50-year member of the Texas Fraternal Organization.

    She was married to John Mitcha. He died in 1927.

    She was later married to Frank Kratina on July 9, 1931, in Topeka. He survives at home.

    Other survivors include a son, John Mitcha, Overland Park; a daughter, Mrs. Henry Covar, Overland Park; a stepson, Ernest Kratina, Route 5, Topeka; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jack Mitchell, Delia; two sisters, Mrs. Eugenia Zilka, in Czechoslavakia, and Mrs. Millie Howard, San Antonio, Tex.; a brother, Louis Zobal, Houston, 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at

    Parker Mortuary. Burial will be in Prairie Home Cemetery west of Topeka.

    Mrs. Kratina will lie in state at Parker Mortuary from noon Saturday until the time of services.
