Married 50 Years
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zlatnik of Delia will be honored Sunday, September 22, with a Golden Wedding Anniversary reception from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Delia Grade School. The reception will be given by their children; Lavern Zlatnik, Delia; Mrs. Rosella Hoglund, Overland Park; Leland Zlatnik, Topeka; Mrs Evelyne Parkerson, Decatur, Ga.; Mrs. Mary Alice Huntsman, Halstead; Mrs. Judith Macha, Arlington Heights, Ill., and their families.
Mr. and Mrs. Zlatnik were married September 24, 1924 in Delia. They have lived all fifty years at the same farm home. They have fifteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

| Anniversary- Zlatnik, Joseph and Cecile 3 Joseph and Cecile Zlatnik celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary quietly at home on Saturday, September 24.
On Sunday morning after church services where they had been recognized by the congregation and congratulated by their friends, they returned to the home of Laverne and Velma Zlatnik. Soon the other members of the family began to arrive with baskets of food for a reunion.
Those attending were Rosella and Harold Hoglund and son Douglas, Overland Park; Leland and JoAnn Zlatnik and son Aaron, Miss Judy Harris, Mary Alice and David Huntsman and daughters Brenda and Laura, Judith and Garry Macha and sons Brent and Geogary; Mark Zlatnik and children Julie, Sheila, Scott and Melissa, Carolyn and Jeff Johnston, and Alan and Tammy Zlatnik, all of Topeka.
One daughter, Evelyn Parkerson, Decatur, Ga., was not able to come at this time. She plans to come in October so that she can attend the Keller reunion also which will be October 9.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rossee, Holton, were afternoon callers.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Thompson, Riverside, Calif., plan to arrive in Rossville October 7 when they can attend the Keller reunion and spend a week visiting relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zlatnik, Delia, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 23 in Delia Community Center.
Hosts will be their children: Laverne and Velma Zlatnik, Delia: Harold and Rosella Hoglund, Overland Park; Leland and Joann Zlatnik, David and Mary Alice Huntsman, Garry and Judith Macha, Topeka; Bruce and Evelyn Parkerson, Decatur, Ga.
Joseph Zlatnik and Cecil Olena Thompson were married Sept. 24, 1924.

Judith Lynne Zlatnik became the bride of Garry Lee Macha, June 18, in a 2:00 p.m. ceremony in the Delia Presbyterian Church, Delia, Kansas. The Reverend Dwight, Seneker officiated.
Mrs. Macha is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Zlatnik, Delia, and Mr. Macha is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Macha, also of Delia.
The bride wore a gown of light ivory silk organza and beaded re-embroidered Alencon lace. The fitted high-rise bodice covered in motifs of lace featured a sheer yoke, a lace trimmed Victorian neckline, and sheer fitted sleeves having motif of lace extending to the pointed wrist. The skirt was fashioned with an A-line silhouette. The full detachable chapel length train adorned in appliques of lace flowed from the waist. Her veil of silk illusion was held in place by a headpiece of silk organza. She carried a bouquet of white daisies and ivy.
Mrs. Jan Perney, Bloomington, Ind., was matron of honor. Attendents were Carolyn Zlatnik, Delia, and Lynn O’Toole, Decatur, Ga., nieces of the bride.
Best man was Robert Macha, Delia. Groomsmen were Elmer Zerr, Topeka, and Robert Gudgen, Pittsburg, Dan Macha, Delia, and Douglas Hoglund, Overland Park, ushered.
Candles were lighted by Lois Mininger, New Milford, Pa. Mrs. Tim Edwards, Topeka, sang and was accompanied by Mrs. Marguerite Williams, Delia.
A reception in Delia Grade School followed the ceremony.
The bride is a graduate of Delia High School and Washburn University. Mr. Macha is a graduate of Delia High School and Kansas State University. He is presently serving in the United States Radio Station, New Orleans.

Judith L. Macha, 68, Topeka, passed away Dec. 30, 2013. Judy was born Aug. 2, 1945, in Delia, the daughter of Joseph and Cecile Zlatnik. She graduated from Delia High School and Washburn University. She established a piano studio in Topeka for 20 years and in Tulsa for 10 years. Before she was married, she taught music in Carbondale and Atlanta, Ga., public schools. She was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church, Philanthropic Educational Organization, Washburn Alumni Association, Sigma Alpha lota Music Fraternity, Topeka MusicTeachers Association and Tulsa Accredited Music Teachers Association. She was an active participant in these organizations, serving in numerous positions, including serving as president of both TMTA and TAMTA.
Judy married Garry L. Macha on June 18, 1972, in Delia. He survives. Other survivors include sons, Brent Macha and his wife Melissa of Austin, Texas, and Greg Macha of Shawnee; grandchildren, Jake, Luke and Max; brothers, Laverne Zlatnik of Delia and Leland Zlatnik of Topeka; and sisters, Rosella Hoglund of Overland Park, and Mary Alice Huntsman of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Evelyne Parkerson.
Funeral services were held Jan. 3 at Countryside United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association, Keith Worthington Chapter, 6950 Squibb Road, Suite 210, Mission, KS 66202.
