| Anniversary- Martinek, Vincent and Mary 1 Martineks Celebrate Golden Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Vince Martinek, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. McDaniel and Gary of Silver Lake drove to Manhattan Sunday to join Mr. Mel Martinek and attend services at the First Methodist Church. Following the services, they went to dinner at Jensons Restaurant to honor Mr. and Mrs. Martinek's Golden Wedding Anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Vince Martinek were married February 15, 1916, at Pawnee City, Nebraska. They have three children, Mr. Marvin Martinek of Arvada, Colo., Mrs. Marge McDaniel of Silver Lake, and Mr. Melvin Martinek of Manhattan. They have four grandchildren and one great grandson.

| Anniversary- Martinek, Vincent and Mary 2 Martineks Observe 60th Anniversary
MR. AND MRS. VINCE MARTINEK observed their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday. They were married February 15, 1916 at Pawnee City, Nebr., and have lived all their 60 married years on a farm north of Silver Lake.
They have three children: Marvin Martinek, Arvada, Colo.; Marjorie McDaniel, Silver Lake; and Melvin Martinek, Colby, Ks. They also have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A family gathering was held for them over the Christmas holidays.

| Anniversary- Martinek, Vincent and Mary 3 Mr. and Mrs. Vince Martinek were honored over the holidays when they observed their 60th wedding anniversary, which will be February 15th. This was the first time in many years all the family could be together at the same time. Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Martinek and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Turner, Kevin and Kim, Arvada, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Kent Martinek, Ft. Collins, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Mel Martinek, Melany and Melinda, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Glenn, Chris and Angela, Detroit, Mich.; and Mr. md Mrs. William McDaniel and Gary of Silver Lake. The family had dinner at the Moose Lodge in Topeka on Saturday night, and Sunday dinner with an anniversary sake at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William McDaniel. |

Mary Dvorak Martinek, 96, Silver Lake, died Friday, Feb 23, 1990, at her home. She was born May 21, 1893, on a farm near Pawnee City, Neb., the daughter of Frank and Frances Jilek Dvorak Sr.
She married Vince P. Martinek on Feb. 15, 1916, at Pawnee City. They farmed in the Grove Community until he died on Feb. 27, 1977. She was a member of the Silver Lake Senior Citizens, the XYZ Club of Silver Lake and the World Wide Church of God.
Survivors include: two sons, Marvin Martinek, Arvada, Colo., and Melvin Martinek, Garden City; a daughter, Marjorie McDaniel, Silver Lake; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Parker-Price Mortuary, with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Grove.
Mrs. Martinek will lie in state after 1 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Memorial donations may be made to the Silver Lake Senior Citizens Building and Memorial Fund, Box 352, Silver Lake, 66539.
