    Paul Matyak
    Paul Matyak, 75, a farmer in the Delia community since 1939, died late Thursday night at a Topeka hospital. Born in Moravia, Czechoslovakia, he came to the United States alone at the age of 12. In 1910 he homesteaded in South Dakota where he spent 27 years. He came back to Kansas in 1939 and for several years operated the Delia Elevator and Lumber Yard.

    Among the survivors are the widow, Mrs. Marie Matyak of the home; three sons, Frank Matyak of Topeka, Joe Matyak of Rossville, and Paul Matyak of Delia; one daughter, Mrs. Lydia Anderson, Topeka; one brother, Frank Matyak, Rossville; a half-brother, John Emert, Bedford, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.

    Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Rossville Presbyterian Church with burial in Czech Moravian Cemetery north of Rossville. Hurley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

    Paul Matyak
    Paul Matyak, 75, a farmer in the Delia community since 1929, died late Thursday night at a Topeka hospital. Born in Moravia, Czechoslovakia, he came to the United States at the age of 10 with his parents, who homesteaded in North Dakota.

    Among the survivors are the widow, Mrs. Marie Matyak of the home; three sons, Frank Matyak of 4201 Holly Lane, Joe Matyak of Rossville and Paul Matyak of Delia; one daughter, Mrs. Lydia Anderson, 1170 Wayne; one brother, Frank Matyak, Rossville; a half-brother, John Emmert, Bradford, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.

    Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Rossville Presbyterian Church with burial in Czech Moravian Cemetery north of Rossville.
